Digital Portfolio

Introduction Page - This page shows all the project that I have done in my course of Textiles Design throughout the 4 years.

A collage page between my magazine cover design and photography.
Magazine Cover design - researching, developing through scamps and finalising my idea for the cover.
Photographs – photo editing with Photoshop and Illustrator

Collection design as a hobby - trying out with markers and brush markers

1a) Urban Blur - Inspiration into researching. From the idea of distressed, bricks and wall designs to my link to Gerhard Richter's blur painting which was my main artefact along with my other researched artefacts.

1b) Urban Blur - Creating samples of embroidery, mark making, textual drawing, fabric painting/ illustration, mixed media, knitting, laser cut pattern, Tyvek and more.
Screen printing with embroidered birds and foiling from the inspiration of Rauschenberg, along with his idea of recycling unused materials to make a piece of art.

1c) Urban Blur - Experimenting from the 3D umbrella, developing it into a sleeve pattern using the same idea of how I made the umbrella. Exploring and developing Gerhard Richter’s painting techniques and Raf Simons 2015 menswear collection link. And which these are to use towards my reflective recording and personal presented final piece.

From getting the idea of how to do life drawing to developed 5-90 minutes’ life drawings using mixed media.

Collection design along with trailing with colours on designs. Inspired by secret service agents back to the 1940 when a limited amount of women used to disguise themselves for an agent mission.

2a) GCSE "Modern Red Riding Hood Costume" - Initial and further design ideas along with client profile and techniques that could be used throughout my project.

2b) GCSE "Modern Red Riding Hood Costume" - Development on design 18, illustration on the front, side and back of my final garment design. And finally, photographs and close-up shots of my final piece.

Mixed media drawing in Graphics Design, creating a book cover with scenes in the story.

4a) Deconstruct and Rearrange - Inspiration, researching, sampling and experimenting with lino printing, overlapping prints painting on fabric and collaging.

4b) Deconstruct and Rearrange - using cultural awareness from the Chanel Cruise Show held in Seoul to further elaborate my development between samples. This gave me the idea of photographing, created an overlapping layers of photograph in Photoshop and at last heat transferred the image onto a fabric to do a quilting sample. Also trialling errors which work out the texture that I wanted along with experimenting acetate and collaging acetate with sewing machine.

4c) Deconstruct and Rearrange - used the idea of the texture in trialling errors, I then painted the fabric and created a dripped ink effect on fabric, breaking them apart and rearranging them back together. This page also includes printing texture on laser printed background and photographing the idea of texture.

4d) Deconstruct and Rearrange - Taken inspiration from the Fendi 2015 Pre-fall collection, creating my own design which suits my theme, using laser cutter to turn my hand written type into a spray stencil. And at last, finalising my sample, mock-up and created my final piece along with some initial designs.
